The concept and reality of family is at the heart of life and at the heart of Church and what the Family Centre seeks to do is to resource, support and enhance the lived experience of family today.

This means taking the reality of family life in its joyful and sorrowful moments and applying to it care programmes, prayer experiences and support networks that bring a deeper awareness and a fuller understanding to the richness of family life.
So preparing couples for marriage, providing training to parents, working with bereavement groups and providing support groups, these are areas which shape the work of the Family Centre at Knock Shrine.

Organ Donation Awareness Week 2017

What a wonderful occasion we had at Knock Shrine today celebrating Organ Donation Awareness Week! #donorweek2017A word of thanks to all who took part in any way, to those who helped in the promotion of this special event, and to those who participated in the mass today. We are particularly grateful to Bernadette McNeive, who inspired us to organise this gathering and who spoke so beautifully about her family’s experience during the mass. We also appreciate the photographic skills of Sinead Mallee who captured the essence of the day in these beautiful images. We hope you enjoy this slideshow and, for a complete taste of all that happened, we invite you to like and share this video of our memories from the day.
