Volunteer opportunities




Knock Counselling Centre is a community-based counselling service provided by Knock Shrine and the Child and Family Agency, TUSLA. 

We provide a single-session listening service on weekends throughout the Pilgrimage Season from April until October.


Volunteers should, as a minimum, have completed an accredited Counselling Skills course and should be committed to continuous personal/professional development.

Knock Counselling Centre seeks volunteers to act as reception staff during weekend hours. We are looking for volunteers who are warm, professional, and have a strong appreciation for confidentiality.

A current police record check is required.

Knock Counselling Centre offers a drop-in listening service to adults two days a week and at weekends for six months of the year.

We are looking for  a volunteer to work with the Centre to assist with coordinating the services, to raise the profile of and increase the uptake of this valuable service.
