Meditating On The Mysteries Of Salvation

This book is a practical and spiritual guidebook to the Holy Rosary, which not only examines the meaning of its mysteries, but also creates awareness that the Rosary is a prayer deeply rooted in sacred scripture.

Meditating on the Mysteries of Salvation provides an extensive and joyful guide to praying the Rosary. It includes the basic prayers and the traditional sets of mysteries, but also goes beyond that by providing new topics for meditation on the Rosary, which either come from the German tradition or have been newly developed by the author. These include in particular the Consoling, the Miraculous and the Merciful Mysteries.

The way of praying the Rosary presented in this book is rich in variety and offers, in a special way, what the famous theologian Romano Guardini called a ‘participation in the life of Mary, whose focus was Christ’.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Father Frank Drescher, originally from Germany, is a priest of the Archdiocese of Dublin. He studied the theology of spirituality at the Pontifical Gregorian University and holds a licentiate degree in sacred theology. Father Frank has written a book on spiritual direction, as well as several published articles in the areas of theology, philosophy and religious studies
