Description
Surely St Vincent de Paul (1581–1660) is not only one of the best known, but
also one of the most admired saints of all time. It is thought that as many as
268 institutes have been influenced, in one way or another, by his life and
spirituality. This book seeks to discover what motivated St Vincent to respond
in so many creative and practical ways to those, who in his troubled times,
were victims of injustice and poverty. Hopefully, readers of this book will be
inspired by Vincent’s example to express the compassion of Jesus in ways
that are well attuned to the urgent and unmet needs of the poor of our day.
