This year marks the 5th Anniversary of Donal Walsh the Kerry teenager who touched so many lives, with his powerful message ‘live life’! The Youth Ministry at Knock are planning a special day on May 11th for all TY’s and 5th Year students to celebrate his life and his message. The day will offer a variety of events for students, followed by a very special Mass in the Basilica at 1.30pm. The day promises to be an inspiring experience and a chance for students to come together from all over Ireland and reflect on what it means to Live Life!!
Speakers include rugby player Ian McKinley, Fr. Philip Mulryne (who played with Manchester United before entering the priesthood), and Fr. Dermot Donnelly (brother of Declan Donnelly of ‘Ant & Dec’).
Donal’s mother Elma Walsh who has worked tirelessly on the ‘Live Life’ will be present on the day.
The Mass is being filmed by Kairos Communications and will be broadcast on RTÉ 1 on Sunday 13 May at 11am.
