Knock Bookshop – Now Open Daily

Regular visitors to Knock Bookshop will be delighted to know that it is now open daily from 9am to 5pm.

For over 30 years, the bookshop has built a strong reputation as an independent retailer specialising in spiritual books and resources. Located adjacent to Knock Basilica, the bookshop is a lovely place to spend some time when you visit Knock Shrine. As you browse through the extensive collection, you are sure to find something to draw your interest. Whether it’s an inspirational book of prayers, a thought- provoking book of meditations or the latest releases from renowned Irish and international authors, Knock Bookshop offers a wide selection of books and resources for readers of all ages and interests.

One of the most popular corners of the shop is without doubt the children’s books section. The brightly coloured display hosts a wonderful collection of illustrated story books for younger readers. There is plenty of inspiration for hours of creativity with faith based colouring books and activity books. The range of first bibles and prayer books are written in child friendly language and are the perfect gift for baptisms, first communions and confirmations.

As you browse through the shelves, you will find that each section of the bookshop is clearly marked, with extensive titles in such categories as Faith, Spirituality and Prayer. There are a wide range of resources available for pastoral councils and parish choirs. Liturgical resources include missals, bibles and commentaries from leading theological writers.

In these challenging times, you will also find a wide selection of helpful resources for coping with grief and anxiety. There are also some helpful books on the joys and challenging of parenting and family life.

If you are looking for a unique keepsake from Knock Shrine, the bookshop offers a beautiful selection of exclusive gifts, including an exclusive collaboration with Newbridge Silver. While many pilgrims may be unable to visit Knock Shrine at present, the Stations of the Cross are narrated by Fr. Richard Gibbons. This new prayer set also includes an illustrated book of meditations, using the stunning Stations of the Cross at Knock Basilica as a visual aid. The prayerful experience is enhanced by musical accompaniment from Una Nolan, director of music at the Shrine.

For those of you who cannot visit in person, the bookshop also offers a wide selection online at www.knockshrine.ie/online-shop
