Knock Shrine is inviting secondary schools from across the Archdiocese of Tuam to take part in a special schools day for their fifth-year students on January 29th.
The day is organised by Knock Youth Ministry and is annual event. It has been a great success in previous years with very positive feedback from the students and teachers who attended.
This year, the schools day is a good opportunity for students to learn more about Pope Francis’ Holy Year of Mercy, which started on December 8, 2015, and continues until November 20, 2016.
The theme for the day is ‘Merciful Like the Father’ and Fr Alan Neville, MSC, will deliver an engaging talk on ‘The Year of Mercy – What is it?’.
The programme, which starts at 10.30am and finishes at 3pm, also includes ice-breakers, music, prayer, testimonials, share groups, Mass, and an information session on Knock’s youth volunteer programme – VAKS.
All activities on the day will take place in St John’s Rest & Care Centre.
Knock Youth Ministry aims to have representation from all of the schools in the Tuam Archdiocese so please get in touch if your school would like to attend.
