The Feast of the Presentation: Thursday 2nd February

On Thursday 2nd February, the Church will celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord which occurs forty days after the birth of Jesus and is also known as Candlemas Day, since the blessing and procession of candles is included in today’s liturgy.
The Blessing of Candles will take place during Mass today in the Parish Church at 9am, 12 noon, 3pm & 7.30pm. Please bring your candles with you to be blessed.
Confessions are available throughout the day from 11am -3pm in St Brigid’s (located next to Knock Museum).
O God, true light, who create light eternal,
spreading it far and wide,
pour, we pray, into the hearts of the faithful
the brilliance of perpetual light,
so that all who are brightened in your holy temple
by the splendor of these candles
may happily reach the light of your glory.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen
You can also take part in the celebration of Mass online.
