Consider Remembering Us in Your Will

At Knock Shrine we understand that the decisions you make about your Will are important and deeply personal. We recommend taking time to discuss your wishes with your family and consult with your solicitor. If you are considering including Knock Shrine in your Will there are a number of ways in which your gift can be utilised to make a lasting difference to others and continue the work of the Shrine in your name.

Reasons to give to Knock Shrine

Knock Shrine is a unique place of healing.
One of the most striking elements of this special place is the profound sense of peace that helps visitors to take a break from the complexities of their everyday lives and find some time to nurture their faith and spirituality.

Your legacy will help us to:

  • Develop Knock Shrine as an international place of pilgrimage and prayer while also helping with the
running of critical services such as the Knock Counselling Centre and Youth & Family Centre

Types of Gifts

There are two main types of legacy gifts to consider, including:

  1. Pecuniary or Monetary Gift (a fixed sum)
  2. A Residuary Gift – This is a gift which is made after your estate responsibilities are complete. You can
choose to leave a total of the residuary or a percentage

I have already made my Will – what do I need to do?

If you already have a Will, you can easily make an amendment to it by using a Codicil Form. This is a straightforward legal document which you simply fill out and give to your solicitor to add to your existing Will.
You can use the enclosed Codicil Form/ You can download the Codicil form here. It is advised that you follow the instructions and discuss the addition of the Codicil with your solicitor.
