Knock Museum is hosting a special event to celebrate St Brigid’s Day next Monday, February 1st.
At 2pm, visitors to the museum will be able to attend a free talk all about the traditions associated with St Brigid and to see the different styles of St Brigid’s Crosses in the museum collection.
Participants can learn to make their own cross with help and assistance from Patricia Flaherty of Naomh Padraig Crafts, a professional craft worker and qualified craft teacher.
Patricia is over 20 years in the business and specialises in traditional crafts using both rush and willow.
Admission to this event is free and all are welcome.
