World Fatima in Ireland Pilgrimage

This weekend Knock Shrine will welcome the World Fatima in Ireland Pilgrimage on Sunday 9th July.

This is a significant celebration to offer a time of prayer and reflection to coincide with the centenary of the apparitions and also to celebrate the canonisation of two of the visionaries of the Marian apparitions at Fatima, Jacinta and Francisco Marto. The main celebrant of the World Fatima in Ireland Pilgrimage at Knock is Most Rev Eamon Martin, Archbishop of Armagh and Primate All Ireland.

This celebration will offer a time for prayer and reflection on this special centenary and also an opportunity to celebrate the canonisation by Pope Francis on the Feast day of Our Lady of Fatima (13 May last), of two of the visionaries of the Marian apparitions at Fatima, Jacinta and Francisco Marto.  The International Pilgrim Statue from Fatima will be brought to Knock for the occasion.  After the Rosary Procession, Archbishop Martin will renew the Prayer of Consecration of Ireland to the Immaculate Heart of Mary (see below) which was undertaken at Knock by the Irish bishops in August 2014, and will also bless a new crown for the National Pilgrim Statue of Ireland.

A seminar will also take place on Saturday 8th July at 10.15 in Knock House Hotel. The seminar will be facilitated by Eamon Henry, National President of the World Apostolate of Fatima-Ireland and chaired by Fr Desmond Farran, Spiritual Director and National Patron, Most Rev Eamon Martin, Primate of All Ireland.

For enquiries regarding the seminar, please contact Leo on (087) 2772827.
