Concert for Peace on Lyric FM

A chance to experience some of the magic from the brilliant Concert For Peace, recorded by RTÉ lyric fm on May 14th, 2016 at Knock Basilica. To be aired for the first time 7pm, Tuesday 21st June ‘The Lyric Concert’, RTÉ lyric fm. The programme includes excerpts from Sir Karl Jenkins’ choral sensation The Armed Man : A Mass for Peace and Patrick Cassidy’s Elegy Suite for 1916, and features the RTÉ Concert Orchestra with Conductor David Brophy and soloists Anne Marie Gibbons, Owen Gilhooly and Sibéal Ní Chasaide. The concert also features a 120 member Peace Choir, comprising of Ballina Chamber Choir, Cór Mhaigh Eo & Dún Laoghaire Choral Society. The concert was presented by Mayo International Coral Festival in association with the Western Development Commission.
