Guest Speakers have been announced for this year’s Donal Walsh Day at Knock Shrine. The Donal Walsh #LiveLife Foundation will hold their annual day to mark the 7th anniversary of the passing of Donal Walsh at Knock Shrine on Thursday, May 7th 2020.
Donal Walsh is the Kerry teenager who touched so many lives when he came to prominence through his writings and subsequent appearance on Brendan O’Connor’s ‘The Saturday Night Show’. Donal fundraised tirelessly while battling cancer. His family set up the foundation to promote his anti-suicide #Livelife message.

Dr. Niall is a Professor in the School of Health and Human Performance and a member of the Centre for Preventive Medicine in DCU. Dr. Niall will be familiar to many from his participation in the RTE series ‘Operation Transformation’.
Mary is a well known Irish writer, television personality and former newscaster. She presented ‘Nationwide’ on RTE One for many years. She was co-presenter of the programme Open House with Marty Whelan. She is the author of numerous inspirational books.
Fr Bryan Shortall OFM Cap. joined the Capuchin order in 1987 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1997. His recently published book Sending Positive Vibes delves into Fr Bryan’s life – from his vivid memories of childhood, to his challenging experience as a hospital chaplain, to the difficulties of being a minister of Gospel in today’s Ireland. Born and brought up in Dublin, in this book he shares his daily rigours as a priest in the city.
Fr. John is Prior of the Dominican College, Newbridge and professor at the Dominican Stadium in St. Saviour’s Dublin.In 1974 St. Saviour’s became the parish church for the surrounding area and in 2000 was made the Studium for the formation and training of priests for the Irish Dominicans.
