On Thursday, August 8th 2019, a historic occasion took place in Rome when His Holiness, Pope Francis blessed our beautiful new processional statue of Our Lady of Knock. The hand carved statue has been commissioned to celebrate the 140th Anniversary of the Apparition and is the work of the Stuflesser Studios in Ortesei, Italy. The Stuflesser family have been master woodcarvers since 1875 and the region around Ortesei is known as the wood carving capital of Europe. We look forward to the dedication of this beautiful new processional statue on the evening of the 21st of August at the 8pm Novena ceremony.
